Animals

At the Zoo, animals move freely in large and modest enclosures with trees, streams, pools, and other natural-like features. We house a wide variety of animals representing all corners of the earth and have even been known to occasionally invite a traveling koala or white alligator.

Mammals wild and domestic are here, ranging from endangered Siberian tigers and Asian elephants to rock hyrax and pigmy zebu

We also feature reptiles, ranging from Egyptian spiny-tailed lizards, pancake tortoises, and scheltopusiks (better known as limbless lizards) to the better-known American alligators..

The Zoo's modest collection of amphibians includes tomato frogs, Puerto Rican crested toads, and several species of poison arrow frogs.

But wait... there's more! We also have an interesting collection of various species of birds. Some of our feathered friends include cinereous vultures, Lady Ross' plantain eaters, and waterfowl like tufted teal and smew.

Finally, we round out our worldwide collection with invertebrates such as giant Brazilian cockroaches.
